Usually when I need to sterilise something on holiday I buy a large tupperware and the Milton steriliser tablets and pop the stuff in there. This time I came across the Solo Travel Steriliser and at £10 I thought I would give it a go.
I have to say I am very impressed. It is small and compact and does the job you need when you are on holiday. What’s great is that it is versatile and can either go in the microwave or you can put the tablets in and use it with cold water. It sterilises from 2 minutes in the microwave and in 15 mins with cold water. It can also go in a microwave either standing up or on its side depending upon the size. I found this useful as my Nan’s microwave was mini, yet it still fit! It is also lightweight so doesn’t add much to your luggage and you can store things in it whilst travelling.
The only downside is you can’t fit loads in. As it is designed to be small for travelling this is to be expected. I managed to fit a bottle and extras such as dummies. If you are going away for a long time you may need to buy a microwave steriliser but if you only intend to use this for a short period of time it gets my vote! I would say money well spent.
